You have questions, we have answers!

How long will it take?

We need a full three months to work on your dress. Your first fitting will be three months before your wedding date, the second fitting nearer to two months prior, and the final just one month before your event. If you are planning on doing portraits, we will need to know that date from the beginning and adjust your fittings accordingly. If you need major alterations or a redesign, we will need at least six months. You will probably need more fittings as well. In these cases, please feel free to contact us as soon as possible.

Not sure if you want to book with us?

We offer consultations!  We will meet with you and basically have a first fitting. There is a non-refundable $30 consultation fee in cash for this service. At the end of our time, if you decide that you do not wish to work with us, you take your dress with you. If you decide that you do want to work with us, you leave the dress for us to begin the work, and we waive the fee.

How much will this cost?

It is completely understandable that you are interested in an estimate. Most of our bridal alteration costs fall between $350 and $850. If you are planning a redesign, the minimum will be $700, since they involve more customizations. We know this is a wide range, but there are many factors that go into pricing.
Any dress with beading or lace can cost more than dresses without these beauties, because there are extra steps and time involved. If your dress needs shortened, you can count the number of layers in your skirt. Each hem is individually priced based on fullness and materials. Changing the size of your dress considerably in either direction obviously costs more than if it needs a small amount of adjusting.
Bustles!! You'll find that some bridal shops show a "bustle" by picking up just the center of your train. We consider the size and weight of your train in order to bustle it properly. This can make it difficult to estimate price. When you try it on for us, we show you how many points we recommend. Some dresses only need three and we’ve had a few go over twenty! Most need five to nine.
We are happy to give a closer estimate based on pictures of you in the dress. Any information you have about what you’d like to have done and how many layers you have will help, but seeing the dress in person is the best way to guarantee the accuracy
of the cost.

What if I change sizes?

Whether you're losing, gaining, or struggling to maintain, just let us know! We will glady talk over your situation and come up with a plan. We know how stressful this process can be and being worried about fitting into your dress is normal. We've worked with all body types and firmly believe that each bride is beautiful and deserves to feel that way!

Can I bring guests?

We work out of our homes. If you want someone to join you for your fittings, we can comfortably seat two extra people. We understand that this is a very exciting time in your life and you might want to share it. If you need to bring children, keep in mind that because of the nature of what we do, there are sharp things everywhere in our studio (pins, safety pins, scissors, seam rippers!)

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept venmo, cash, check, and credit card. We have to charge a 2% fee for venmo and a 3% fee for credit card charges.
